As a contemporary Shunga artist, the reasons for selecting a certain subject matter does not neccessarily reflect my own personal fantasies and desires. Instead, I have chosen to try to be open to what would make a beautiful and interesting erotic artwork, rather than limiting myself to a certain type of motif or erotic scene.
