A set of two gourds, decorated with a pattern of stylized plum blossoms. The plum blossoms are portrayed in the style of Japanese shibori fabric dying technique.

This set of two decorative items are drieds calebashs also known as gourds. In old Japan they were used as a drinking bottle hung on your obi sash. In modern time they often serve as collectors items and decorative objects.
They are handpainted with a pattern of stylized plum blossoms. The blossoms are portrayed in the style of Japanese shibori fabric dying technique. Handpainted by Swedish artist Anna Maia. They can be hung on a string or as standing decorations.
These are two unique artobjects, only one item of each have been made.
Material:
Dried calabash, Gansai water colours, sealing coat, string for hanging purposes.
