“Kuchidzuke” (the kiss – revisited) Museum Etching Edition
$100 – $450
The contemporary Shunga paintings of Senju explores human sensuality and sexuality.
Almost two years after the release of his homage to the great painter Gustav Klimt, Senju revisits the initial idea in order to see what difference artistic and personal evolution makes when it comes to creating art. Through it all the idea of human love remains the lighthouse that guides us away from the treacherous sharp rocks hiding in the dark waters of the heart.
Printed on 350 gsm 100% cottonĀ Hahnemuelhe Museum Etching paper. Signed and numbered limited edition of 20 copies only in each size. Each individual print is stamped with the artist's personal read seal (hanko). It also comes with a certificate of autenthicity designed by Senju. The certificate shows the prints title, size and number. It is signed and stamped with the artist's red seal.
Senju's art is rooted deeply in traditional Japanese art, especially the erotic and sensual world of Shunga.
